STCW2010 UAFF Update Course

Course Content:

  • Learning outcomes for the Updated Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting:

    The Updated Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting is a one day theory course based around classroom learning. The focus will be upon shipboard fire fighting operations and the use and management of fire fighting parties, as well as inspection and maintenance of fire fighting systems and equipment on board.

    There are four key outcomes to the training, and these are:

    Outcome 1: The learner knows how to control fire fighting operations aboard ship both at sea and within port
    Outcome 2: The learner knows how to organise and train fire parties
    Outcome 3: The learner knows how to inspect and service fire detection and extinguishing systems
    and equipment
    Outcome 4: The learner is able to investigate and compile reports on incidents involving fire

This course can also be taken as part of our STCW2010 4 Day Update Package and 5 Day Update Package if you need to update other STCW training at the same time.

**Note: Completion of this course does not remove the requirement to update the STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting certification every five years**
