Careers at sea – where to start? Looking to begin a career at sea can sometimes appear to be a daunting task, and as a maritime training provider we have the opportunity to answer all sorts of questions regularly – ‘Where to start?’, ‘What training do I need?‘ ‘What’s STCW Basic Safety Training?‘ ‘What options are there within the industry?‘
There is a lot to get your head around, and we want to help point you in the right direction, so you can get to grips with careers at sea.
The maritime industry is expansive, varied and provides some great opportunities for employment. Be it merchant navy, superyachts, cruise lines or ferries (and many, many more) there is something for everyone. Each has it’s own individual benefits and requirements, with differing progression paths and opportunities. All will be the start of the adventure of a lifetime…
