As a Stewardess, you are responsible for the "interior" experience of the guests. This role demands the absolute highest standards of hospitality, discretion, and attention to detail. Whether the yacht is on a private owner trip or a high-end commercial charter, your goal is to provide seamless, seven-star service.
- Service: Silver service, cocktail mixology, and wine presentation.
- Housekeeping: Maintaining cabins to a pristine, "hotel-standard" finish.
- Laundry Operations: Managing delicate designer fabrics and guest garments.
- Event Hosting: Setting elaborate themed tablescapes and assisting with guest parties.
- Provisioning: Working with the Chef to source and manage luxury food and beverages.
- Floral Design: Creating and maintaining fresh flower arrangements throughout the yacht.
The Essentials: Getting Started
Luxury yachting is a highly regulated maritime industry. Before you can begin applying for roles, you must secure the following mandatory qualifications:
1. STCW Basic Safety Training
A mandatory 5-day programme covering Fire Fighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival. This ensures you can act decisively in an emergency. No yacht will hire you without this.

Experience in high-end waitressing, bartending, or hotel management is highly transferable and valuable to the interior team.

Yachts often seek "Stewardess/Masseuse" or "Stewardess/Beautician" roles. Skills in Yoga or Personal Training are also massive bonuses.
Security & Safety
Certificates in Designated Security Duties or Crowd Management help you integrate into the safety team.
