JUNO 8 number 2

JUNO 8 – Halmatic Nelson 45

Juno 8 is one of the classic 1970’s built Halmatic Nelson 45ft P1000-class picket boats which were once carried on Royal Navy destroyers and then used at the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth primarily to train officer cadets in boat handling and seamanship. Prince William trained on picket boats as part of his officer training at Dartmouth which he undertook from June 2008.

Juno 8 was purchased in 2021 by South West Maritime Academy with its primary function of training Border Force officers safe methods of vessel boarding, extraction and seamanship skills.

She is extremely heavily built with a large wheelhouse, forward and aft cabins, galley, toilet and plenty of room which makes her perfect for training, filming, day charters and dive support.
